Sarah May Jewellery Boutique

We collaborated with Zoe Defert Architects to produce a concept for a new flagship jewellery boutique in Richmond.
The existing space is very narrow, deep and wedge shaped. Our idea was to work with, and almost exaggerate, the existing parameters. We wanted to come up with a design that would have a strong visual presence and identity whilst creating an eye catching and effective display for the jewellery.
The concept is a ribbon which loops from one side of the space to the other – on one side cradling black concrete display cases, and on the other framing full length, gold mirrors.
Three free-standing, gold-mirrored cases can either display jewellery in the window or can be moved around to create focal points and display ‘showcase’ items during events / launch parties at the boutique.
