We were asked to produce studies for the external shutters of a high spec residential project in Lebanon.

Through a series of scale models we explored different folding options for shutters that could employ a standard sliding mechanism and simple perpendicular folds to create complex geometry.

The façade would transform from a flat skin into a highly textured elevation as the shutters were opened.
