Soane Street Pavilion Canopy

London, UK

We were invited by Niall McLaughlin Architects to design the canopy for a new pavilion for British Land, for Soane Street in London – a landmark for the wider area regeneration.

Inspired by the quality and properties of a tree crown, the pavilion canopy is made of cut and folded copper sheets layered to create shelter from rain and sun.

The canopy is held by laminated glass columns above a row of benches on a stone podium.
